About Our Pastoral Family
Pastor Eric Jarvis was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, reared in Northern Michigan and moved to South Haven shortly before he graduated from L.C. Mohr High School in 1982.
Pastor Jarvis attended central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri from 1982-1986 where he received his B.A. in Bible with a concentration in Pastoral Ministries.
Jennifer Jarvis was born and reared in Niles, Michigan. After graduating from Niles in 1981 sister Jarvis attended Western Michigan University where she earned her Master's Degree in Elementary Education. She currently teaches kindergarten at Maple Grove Elementary school in South Haven and has more than 22 years of experience educating children in both Christian and public schools.
Pastor and his wife met in Niles, Michigan and were married in August of 1986. The Jarvis's have one son, Caleb, who attends L.C. Mohr High School in South Haven. He is active in soccer, swimming, tennis and band. Caleb also enjoys snowboarding, fishing, hunting, skateboarding and his Beagle dog "Bagel" in his spare time.
Pastor Jarvis was ordained in 1988 with the Assemblies of God. He and his wife have more than twenty years of ministry experience serving together as youth, children's associate and senior pastor in South Haven and Niles. For the past ten years Pastor Jarvis and his family have been revitalizing the work here serving as senior pastor at the South Haven Assembly. Under the leadership of the Jarvis's the church has made physical improvements to the grounds, acquired land for future development and grown from a struggling church with 10-15 people to a vibrant healthy mission oriented family church.
